Are books in your blood? Are you an in-your-face reader? A closet bookworm? MCG’s three Book Groups cater for those who love to read books and then talk about them. With our focus on Southeast Asian fiction and non-fiction, what better way to vicariously experience all the region has to offer? Once a month avid readers gather to discuss a book the group has chosen.
Belonging to a book group means additional enrolment and commitment, as each member hosts one morning session and acts as discussion leader once during the year. Following a meeting, the discussion leader writes a short review of the book and the group’s response, which is published in the MCG newsletter and on the website.
To give you a flavour of our reading experience, our recent selections are here.
Spaces become available in each of the two groups on an ad hoc basis as members move on.
